ABOUT ME
Director Emily Louisa Millan Eide (32), from Ulsteinvik, studied Documentary Directing at Lillehammer University College and graduated in spring 2019.
Her bachelor film was about William Heimdal, and the project Renessanseprinsen (“The Renaissance Prince”) is a further development of that work.
The film was nominated for two Gullruten awards and can be seen on all the Nordic public broadcasters and the Spanish/Portuguese streaming service Filmin.
Eide has also directed the short documentaries Livet har mange fargar (“The Hues of Life”) and Reprise, both of which were shown on NRK, and has also worked for several years as a cultural journalist at NRK. In autumn 2026, she will begin a Master’s degree in Conceptual Documentary Directing at The Norwegian Film School.
